CSCC#7 - WATERCOLOUR CARD TECHNIQUES

Hello Friends,Ramya here Hope you all are having fun with our current challenge - " CSCC#7 - watercolour challenge " . We are happy to see your amazing entries for the challenge and now its my turn to share my inspiration.

I thought watercolours can just be used for colouring digital images or watercolour painting. But when I googled upon, to my surprise I found that there are a lot of techniques for card making using watercolours. Here are some of the cards I created using watercolours.

1. SPONGE+VARNISH+WATERCOLOUR PENCILS CARD

I created the background using watercolours and sponge. I drew the digital image and coloured using watercolour pencils. I applied a coat of varnish to get the look of a sticker.

2.KITCHEN TISSUE PAINTING

I created a pattern paper using kitchen tissue ( tissue towel) and watercolours. Embellished the card using handmade flowers coloured using watercolours.

TO MAKE TOWEL PAINTING

3. WATERCOLOUR STAMPING

Instead of stamping with the usual inks I decided to use watercolours for stamping. Here is my handmade foam stamp.

 4. STENCIL CARD.

I dabbed some watercolours for the background and pasted a masking stencil at the center.
Whoa! I had super fun making these cards. So you too have fun, playing with Watercolour Challenge

Thanks for stopping by..;)

CSCC#7 Watercolor Card by Jayashri

Hello everyone!!!
This is Jayashri here. Hope you all are enjoying Watercolor challenge.
Here is my card for you as inspiration.

Card Instruction:
Take 4.5" X 6" Watercolor paper (I have used Handmade paper White).
I have taken Avery Elle Petals and Stems Clear stamp to create the card.
I usually prefer working from light tone then further to  dark tone,
Stamp leaves with light green using Momento Ink and then flowers with different colors,
Using watercolor pencils color the background under flowers make it darker (Dark green, Brown)-so that it gives little depth. Create sky effect using blue color as shown.
Finally stamp dark tone leaves here and there.

Hope you liked my card and Don't forget to link up your creations to our Watercolor Challenge.
Thanks for stopping by, See you...

'T' Time #7

Hi Folks,

It is T-time today.

Water  - transparent liquid when gels with colour, it creates wonder.
I am shylaa here to post a tutorial on how to create a card with watercolours.

It is so simple to do.

Here are the materials required:
1. Cardstock
2. Normal Paint Brush
3. Camilin Watercolour cakes
4. Embellishments to decorate
5. Water sprayer

Steps to follow:
1. Take the cardstock and spray the water over it and don’t overdo just saturate the paper with water.

2. Mount the colour on the brush and just give one to two strokes, the colour will diffuse on the paper.
3. Since I will be using this a background, I have used different colours.

4. Then sprinkle the colours(mount the colours on the brush) on a plastic sheet and press the stamped image over the sprinkled colours; you will get a background like this.

5. I have attached the stamped image to the coloured background and mounted on white cardstock.

6. Embellish the card as you wanted
7. Your watercolour card is ready

Hope you got an idea, Join us the fun by linking your card to our challenge here - CSCC#7 - Watercolors

CSCC #7 - Water Color card and a farewell by Deepti Malik

Hello friends! This is Deepti Malik here and I am sharing my take on the current challenge at CSCC #7 - Water Colors. Unfortunately this is my last card as CSCC Design Team. Things are getting a bit difficult to manage :(, hence I decided to step down.
I am sad to leave this lovely team and super talented, amazing Team Leader Deepti Stephens !! Thank you so much Deepti for understanding :) But I do promise to play along in future :)

So here's my card...

To make this card, I created a water washed background and I used Twinkling H2O for this. Next I heat embossed some flowers and leaves in Vellum, colored and fuzzy cut them. Heat embossed the sentiment on card base and laid all the pieces together on the water colored base. To finish the card... I added this over a kraft card stock.

Hope you like this and hope you got inspired to play along with our Water Color Challenge and stay tuned for more inspiration by our awesome DT.

Thank you once again to all my readers, my team and Deepti for being so wonderful!!

CSSC #7 ~ Water color by Rahmat

Hello friends! This is Rahmat. Hope you're doing good and today it's my turn to share my inspiration for the water color challenge at CSSC#7.

This is my card which I made for this challenge.

I made this card using re-inkers.

I am adding a step by step picture tutorial for anyone who wishes to do so :)

1. You will need re-inkers, water, palette, paint brushes, and any sponge.

 2. Drop a few drops of ink on the palette, and lightly dip the sponge on the ink/inks.

 3. Place your desired stencil, and lightly dab the inked sponge around your image.

4. Once you are done dabbing the ink on the design, simply dip a brush tip in water and lightly color on the ink, this will smudge the ink, take a note not to dip your brush in too much of water, just a little is enough.

It doesn't take much time to dry up, so once you are done, go ahead and put together your card.

I hope you like my card, and we all catchy girls can't wait to see what you come up with!!
So hop on to your supplies and amaze us now!

Keep tuned in for more inspirations from our Catchy girls to follow frequently in the coming days.

Hope you liked my project and I hope you would play along with our current challenge. Thanks a lot for stopping by.. See you..
